Comfortable Win For U15’s (2007’s)

Rangers Under 15’s (2007’s) recorded a comfortable win over Dundee United at The Rangers Training Centre this morning, a double from Chris Eadie and a goal from Harry Weir secured the win.

It was the visitors who were first to threaten on four minutes with a chance on the edge of the box and just left of centre, from the shot Alfie Halliwell dived to his right to turn the ball wide for a corner. Rangers responded with Connor Campbell’s attack into the left side of the box and from his pass Lewis Stewart’s effort was blocked by the legs of the keeper.

Rangers came close on nineteen minutes, the ball was switched from the left to Frankie Aitchison inside the right side of the penalty area, he stepped inside a defender before lobbing the keeper but the ball bounced of the far post. Within a couple of minutes a corner from the left broke to Kenzie McLelland on the edge of the six yard box with the keeper making a fine point blank save.

The opening goal came barely sixty seconds later, Jack Wylie provided the through ball for Chris Eadie to race clear and into the penalty area before shooting past the keeper. On the half hour mark United came close to drawing level, the attack took them deep into the right side of the box with the shot bouncing off the crossbar.

Rangers capitalised by doubling their lead two minutes later, Lewis Stewart was the creator with an attack on the left and he passed to Chris Eadie inside the box and he fired past the keeper.

Rangers were first to threaten just after the break, Harry Weir sent Lewis Stewart clear on the left and he broke into the box and forced a save from the keeper at the near post. A good attack from the visitors to them to the right hand byline and form the ball across the six yard box it was knocked just wide of the far post.

Rangers had a few chances in the final five minutes, Harry Weir passed to Jayden Fitzpatrick on the left and he cut into the penalty area and drew a save from the keeper at his near post. A minute later Chris Eadie chased a ball into the right side of the penalty area, he got a touch just before the keeper brought him down. He stepped up to take the spot kick but slipped in his run up and sent the ball high over the bar.

The scoring was completed in the final minute, Chris Eadie played the ball forward to Harry Weir on the right hand angle of the box and he cut inside before shooting across the keeper into the far corner.
