Rangers Under 17’s hit seven past Partick Thistle in tonight’s Glasgow Cup tie at Murray Park. The young Gers dominated the early stages with Thistle defending stoutly and a defender invariably got a block or a deflection on any shots Rangers had at goal. Rangers responded by taking the lead midway through the half, when Jordan Hamill crossed from the right Connor Bruce came from his line and with Nathan Gallagher heading the ball up into the air Junior Ogen knocked the ball into the unguarded net with a fine overhead finish. The Jags responded by creating a chance at the other end, it came on the left side of Rangers box with former Ranger Daniel Bonnar testing Robbie McCrorie at his near post.

Rangers were soon back on the front foot and doubled their lead two minutes later, Kyle Clark released Ryan Hardie on the left side of the Thistle penalty area, he shot a cross the keeper but the ball rebounded of the post into the path of Kyle Clark who followed up to knock the ball into the net.
