Narrow Defeat For Development Side

Rangers 0 Aberdeen 1

In a game of little in the way of goalmouth action and very few chances a Frank Ross goal midway through the first half was enough to give Aberdeen victory at Forthbank this afternoon.

Aberdeen always had the edge territorially in the first half and they scored with what was the half’s only real opportunity as the half passed the halfway mark. Kalvin Orsi sent Sam Robertson towards the byline on the right, he picked out Frank Ross inside the penalty area and he had time and space to turn before shooting through a crowded six yard box and into the net.

Half-Time:- Rangers 0 Aberdeen 1

Rangers improved a bit after the break and had their only real shot on goal on fifty-four minutes from a Max Ashmore twenty-five yarder that Aaron Lennox tipped over. Within three minutes at the other end Kalvin Orsi had a chance deep inside the left side of Rangers penalty area that Robbie McCrorie saved at his near post.

There then was a series of substitutions  and we had to wait until seven minutes from time for the next and final chance of the game. Dylan Thomas fed Kalvin Orsi inside the right side of Rangers penalty box with his effort coming back off Robbie McCrorie’s left hand post.
