17’s and 19’s Friendlies

With five Rangers players away at the European under 19 qualifiers this was is an opportunity to give some game time to a few that have not been playing in the under 19 league and also to look at a few trialists. Unfortunately I was unable to attend either game as I am currently out of the country on a short break.

Rangers 5 Stirling Albion 0

On Monday evening a Rangers under 19  side ran out comfortable winnners against Stirling Albion at Murray Park with goals from Christiano Kisuka, Kyle McAusland, Kane Hemmings and  two from the substitute Trialist striker.

Rangers Team:-Mark Weir, Steven Forbes, Trialist, Scott Durie, Adam Hunter, Gordon Dick, Dylan McGeough, Rhys McCabe, Kane Hemmings, Gregg Wylde, Christiano Kisuka.

Subs:-Trialist, Steven Hetherington, Kyle McAusland.

St.Johnstone 0 Rangers 7

On Tuesday evening an Under 16’s went a couple of goals better away to St. Johnstone. The scorers being Lee Cochrane 2, Gregor Fotheringham2, Frankie Owens, George Scott the other goal being scored by one of the two trialists.

Rangers:- Blair Currie, Andy Murdoch, Jordan Wilson, Stuart Urquhart, Gregor Fotheringham,Trialist, Robbie Crawford, Lewis McLeod, Lee Cochrane, Trialist, George Scott.

Subs:- Frankie Owens, Michael Mosson, Darren McGill, Sam George.

Footnote:-

Grant Adam, Danny Wilson, Kyle Hutton and Archie Cambell have all played in Scotland victories over Romania (3-0) and Armenia (6-1). With Campbell scoring against Romania and Wilson finding the net against Armenia. Darren Cole , who has been an unused substitute in these games  is included in the starting lineup for tonights game against Austria, alongside Adam, Wilson and Hutton, with Campbell dropping on to the bench.
